Nestling between the majestic peaks of the Sierra Nevada and the green mountains of the Sierra Albuñuelas lies the beautiful, fertile Valle de Lecrín. Dotted with pretty Pueblos Blancos, for which this area of Spain is so famous, it has to be one of the most picturesque and relaxing locations in which to learn Spanish in Spain.Over the centuries the valley has played host to many nationalities, including the Moors who left striking evidence of their stay here in the form of castles, towers, acequias, and baths. It’s an area where you can step outside the classroom straight onto a tranquil, sun-drenched street and be greeted with a warm smile and a friendly, ”Hola”. Here in the valley, mules are recognised as the most efficient of horticultural aids – tractors just can’t cope with the steep slopes and narrow gorges that lead to the hillside terraces.
The Valle de Lecrín is situated midway between the Mediterranean coast and Granada City, and is no more than a half hour drive from either, making beaches, Granada’s Alhambra Palace or the ski slopes of the Sierra Nevada easily accessible.

El Cortijo del Pino
El Cortijo del Pino is a spectacular, renovated, rural house with one of the most beautiful views of the village and valley.The house has plenty of outside space, including a patio and a big terrace with views of the campo. It boasts a swimming pool, and attractive gardens shaded by a hundred years old pine tree.
Accommodation can be booked on either a bed and breakfast basis or half board, whichever is preferred.
